Nisan is a celebration of renewal. In Jewish tradition, Nisan is the first month of the year so if you don’t feel that our modern new year (January) set the tone right, we can say this is much like a “do over” where we focus on the renewal in Nisan. In the Torah, the month of Nisan is the first of the months of the year. It’s the beginning of measured time. It’s a month of make-over, renewal, and new beginnings. Nisan is about the purpose of creation being fulfilled. In Nisan, we’re redeemed and destined to be redeemed. This is for an individual as well as a community. It’s a time of miracles and redemption. In Nisan, we can bring on the miracles with something new happening.
In January, we often set a New Year’s resolution. In thinking about the new year Nisan, consider seeing what you desire. Frame it up. One way to do that is by choosing a word that represents what you’d like to see. In a sense, it’s like a New Year’s resolution but instead, it’s taking a word that has special meaning for you. This word helps with that forward motion we all desire to see in our lives.
I’ve already created music using Hebrew words but this song is something different. As I prepare this song, it’s just for you, keeping in mind the word you choose. Now, if you don’t want a specific word and would like to simply order a personal song with other instructions, you may do that, too, and still receive the special. Basically, it’s up to you what you want in your song.
Between March 31 and April 7th, I’m offering a special to the first 25 people who order a personal song. For $50 ($25 off the regular price), I’ll create an instrumental personal song based on a word that you choose. I’ll use the Hebrew version (when possible) of that word and create a song with the intent of it bringing you into a time of renewal and new beginnings. I’ll begin recording the songs on April 6th and will finish up by April 11th. All songs are delivered via MP3 format and are specifically created for each person who orders. The special price is active until 25 people have ordered.
