It is said that God has seven Divine Names. This song titled, “The Names”┬áincludes those seven names:

  • El
  • Elohim
  • Yahweh
  • Adonai
  • Shaddai
  • Tzevaot
  • Ehyeh-Asher-Ehyeh

The melody for each name is taken directly from the Hebrew language by translating each letter into a musical frequency. Each letter of the Hebrew aleph-bet includes a gematria number. That number also represents a musical key. The key of The Names┬áis based on the fundamental frequency of the note, C. It’s not a coincidence that every letter from these seven divine names creates a musical puzzle that with an amazing picture of love, peace, and joy, including what’s said best about these names when Moses asked God, “Who are you?”

“I am whatever you want Me to be. I am whatever you need Me to be. You cannot know My Essence but we will have a relationship, and you will tell stories about your encounters with Me. None of them will be totally accurate because I am not a concept. I am a living complex reality that can be experienced, but not defined or limited by language. That is Who I Am and Who I Will Be.” Peter S. Knobel
